Radioactive Spill at Hanford Worse Than Originally Thought

Hanford, Washington radioactivity

Hanford, Washington.

Alarming story on Oregonlive (Read Here). Undoubtedly the largest long-term threat to the health of the Columbia River is the long emergency of radioactivity at Hanford. On our nation’s birthday, it’s worth contemplating the thousands of eastern Washington men, women and children who were intentionally exposed to radioactive fallout. These unwitting and unwilling victims of the Cold War have yet to be fairly compensated for the legacy of cancer and other diseases that resulted.

Happy 245th, America.
